Complete Maintenance Solution
An ARCO customer in Roseville, CA needed a single organization to offer complete POS maintenance solution to service PIC units and POS equipment. This customer’s problems were solved with CETEC’s wall-to- wall service that covers all three POS registers, Back-Office, Allied Box, SAM Box, cabling, and PICs with parts included. This service is offered anywhere in the CA, NV, AZ, OR, and WA markets.
Mobil to ARCO ConversionCustomer with Wayne dispensers needs Wayne Nucleus system removed and an MSI CVN POS system with PICs installed. ARCO and customer need this conversion completed within 3 days.
Scope
Process an order for MSI Smart Solution (1 register with Back-Office) and 2 Single-sided Cash Only PICs (COP). The COP’s are necessary since this dealer is accepting debit and credit at the dispenser. The next challenge is to convert the CAT’s to interface with the PayPoint Network. New keypads, MSM, CAT I/F boards, and a new PIB Board Interface are ordered and installed. As the dispenser retrofit is taking place, our experienced installation team works to install the Point-of-Sale system. After a few hours, communications between the POS and the dispensers is confirmed, the employees are trained, and the site is ready to sell gasoline as an ARCO branded station. Total customer down time: 2 hours.
Car Wash IntegrationCETEC’s expert service also includes Car Wash integration. We have successfully integrated Car Washes with MSI’s CVN POS at several service station locations from Arizona, California, and Nevada. MSI’s CVN system supports the Unitec and Ryko protocols. With the proper modifications to the Allied Box and the dispensers, our customers can sell car washes from the POS, PIC, and the Dispensers.
Comprehensive Troubleshooting TechniquesA dealer in Oregon had been experiencing problems with system lock-ups on a regular basis. The Point-of-Sale system had been replaced once with no success. The current maintenance provider could not determine the cause of the lock-ups. CETEC visited the site and conducted a site survey and noted that power was not dedicated or isolated. CETEC made recommendations to the dealer and the modifications were made. Since our recommendations were implemented, there have been no power related lock-ups.
